About us
With the foundation of WAVE CULTURE in 2000, Stefan Strauss set the first stone for a later on successfully raising tour operator in the northern German city Hamburg. A short while later, the web page waveculture.de was launched which soon offered the most extensive range of online sport reporting in Germany, followed by a global placement of selected surf camps as well as its own surf lodge beach sided at the beautiful Algarve in the south of Portugal. Today, WAVE CULTURE is operating from here as its second base of office. Close to the sea and well-known surf spots, the best environment has been found to create and implement new plans and projects all around surfing. Next to several online activities and marketing products, the German surf books WAVE CULTURE have continued to appear on the bestseller list for water sport literature in Germany. In 2015, WAVE CULTURE has moved his main office from Hamburg in the Creative Park “Alter Schlachthof” in Karlsruhe in southwestern Germany. One year later, WAVE CULTURE founded together with two partners the PORTO SURF COMPANY, a company focused on requests and needs of surfers and adventure loving travelers in the North of Portugal.
